The start was in Wiltz (Luxemburg) and the finish was in Nijmegen (The Netherlands). Together we covered 700 km in 7 days over sometimes difficult terrain. Especially the stages in the Belgian Ardennes were tough. Together we had lots of fun, not only during the day, but also in the evenings.
Fun fact was that we had a GPS tracker to follow our progress via internet. When the GPS tracker stopped moving, within minutes we received text messages from Schiphol, to encourage us to fix the flat tyre. Presumably the monitors were not only showing SCADA during that week.
With gifts of family, friends, colleagues and suppliers we raised over 20.000 euros. We also started to sell Vanderlande cycling and running outfits. Since that year Vanderlande cyclists and runners can be spotted worldwide.
