On September 11, we all flew to London, unaware of the disaster unfolding on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. Needless to say, all festivities for the day were canceled as everyone followed the latest news and London was in some sort of lockdown.
To make the best of it, we ended up in a small Chinese restaurant around the corner and had dinner and drinks there. We were the only customers.
Fortunately, this did not set the stage for the project itself. After years of hard and dedicated work, we delivered the T5 project on time, on budget and to an extremely satisfied customer.
Like I said, it was a day and a project that I will never forget.
