After a while also mechanical specifications were standardized, in the program CAPE. Both programs are already replaced by ESoT a few years ago. These days this standardisation is called ‘platform building’. Standard solutions, combined to make a complete system for the customer according the desired capacity requirements. By using this method multiple DHL sites were sold, engineered and rolled out in a quarter of a year. A period not to forget, putting all the effort in every aspect of the project with a dedicated team.

To keep the spirit alive, this had to be celebrated with a team outing now and then. In the beginning of 2014 we went to Berlin for a short site visit in a long weekend of course. Special shirts were printed to memorize this team achievement, and this great weekend!

Many DHL MechZB site were build in the period 2012-2017. A 3D printed version of a 2014 DHL MechZB site is presented in the Building 50 lobby. (Photo 3)
