At the beginning, we thought it might be a difficult integration, because many things needed to be adapted quickly to make it a success. A different way of working, new planning software, introducing new products to our factory and so on – it was like a long obstacle course we had to overcome without falling over!
What made it easier was Vanderlande’s way of engaging with us and making everyone feel welcome. I remember the people involved were always willing to help us in a proactive way. It was at that moment that we really discovered Vanderlande and its commitment to teamwork.
Today, I am focusing on meeting the deadlines we receive through the supply chain so we can deliver successful projects. I’m in touch with many people across the Vanderlande operation, including the “control tower”, sorting managers and procurement teams.
I love the job and going through the transition process was certainly worth it, as I’m now part of a great global team that is focused on success. But I won’t forget that six-month period – it was one of the best moments of my career at Vanderlande and I was very proud to be part of it.
