My memories of successes at Vanderlande all have one thing in common: it is all teamwork that makes us successful. In very close cooperation with our customers, we can make deliveries to a success: Mark Lakerveld’s story about making deadlines and celebrating success, was one where he was our customer (Schiphol) and I was (project)managing the project.
Another example is our great team in Vancouver during delivery of the Backbone projects between 2012 and 2016. Being on the “left coast” in NA made us rely on each other a lot. You compensate where another needs help, you step over your own shadow and responsibility if the team is in need. We proved that with good understanding and communication, you can rely on colleagues in other time zones to contribute. It makes the working days actually longer if you do this right!
Vanderlande turning 75, proves that global delivery is done in a successful way. Let’s keep on working as One Team.
